Miles for Madison: Tia Young runs NYC Marathon

Meet Tia Young, a 23-year-old taking on the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon in support of the Pink Bows Foundation through her Miles for Madison campaign.

A Project Manager – UK for the Union Jack Classic, Tia works within the events industry every day, giving her a unique, firsthand perspective on just how critical safety is behind the scenes. From protecting staff to ensuring attendees can fully enjoy the experience, she has seen the impact that proper planning and care can make.

As Tia shares:
“I work in the events industry, so supporting Pink Bows is something that’s closely connected to what I’m part of day to day. I’ve seen first-hand how important safety is behind the scenes and the impact it has on both staff and attendees.”

A lifelong athlete, Tia has recently taken on long-distance running and is now training for her first marathon, pushing herself to new limits.
“I’ve always grown up around sport, and more recently got into long-distance running. I’m currently training for my first marathon and pushing myself to see what I’m capable of. Having never been to New York before, I can’t think of a better way to experience the city than running 26.2 miles through it.”

But this run is about more than the miles. It’s about purpose.

Tia is running in honor of Madison Dubiski and the lives lost at the Astroworld Festival crowd crush, and to help ensure that no family has to experience a tragedy like this again.

Pink Bows Foundation is working to transform live event safety through advocacy, professional training, and programs like Safe Space Tent and the Globally Accredited Showstop Procedure Training course.
